Flowers & Gifts
Déjà Nicole Bowling passed away on July 24, 2019 in Dallas, Texas.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 04, 2019 from 3:00PM until 5:00PM at Driggers and Decker Family Funeral Home.
Déjà was a New Year’s Eve baby born on December 31, 1999 to George Bowling and Chrystina Miller in Dallas, Texas. Déjà was a fearless risk taker with an independent spirit. She was active in soccer, basketball, track and gymnastics. Déjà played volleyball in high school and was very gifted at it. She also was a talented gymnast. At a young age, she mastered the art of the splits and could even do them after her knee surgery. She was very strong and flexible. Déjà had a soft spot in her heart for all animals, especially guinea pigs and dogs. She loved to travel and shop. Her favorite places to visit were Florida and California, anywhere there was a beach where she could swim and watch dolphins, collect sand dollars and sea shells. Déjà had a creative and adventurous soul, one minute you could find her doing crafts, drawing or writing stories and poems, the next minute she would be outside hiking in the woods or attending wilderness camp in Pennsylvania. She liked to use natural products like her Grandma Bowling and she also liked two-dollar bills, home cooking and being with her family and friends. She had a close relationship with her brother, Nate. They enjoyed picking on and harassing each other. Déjà’s sense of humor and personality were one of kind and she will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Déjà was preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, Doris Bowling and her husky, Guapo.
She is survived by her parents, George Bowling of TX and Chrystina Miller-Bowling of GA; brother, Nate Bowling of TX; maternal grandparents, David and Charlene Miller of PA; Uncle Raymond Bowling of OH; Aunt Jenny Miller-Westcott of AZ; Aunt Kerry Miller of PA; Déjà’s dog, Whiskee, and many great uncles, great aunts, cousins, family members and friends.
