Betty Jane Llewellyn passed away at her home in Red Oak, Texas on April 3, 2018.
Celebration of life service will be held on Friday, April 6, 2018 at 4:00 p.m. at Driggers and Decker Family Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dr. Russell C. Hildebrandt officiating. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service on Friday at 3:00 p.m.
Betty was born on November 25, 1927 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Frederick John and Adeline Louise Kreis. Betty was proud to be from Wisconsin, she loved living there and watching the snow fall during those, sometimes unforgiving, Wisconsin winters. She loved being surrounded by her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking meals and baking delicious treats for them. In Betty’s spare time, she enjoyed quilting and arts and crafts. Her favorite holiday was Christmas, she enjoyed the whole Christmas season and her house was always beautifully decorated for the holiday. Betty was a dedicated member of Christ The King Lutheran Church in Waxahachie, Texas. She had a servant’s heart that was full of love and selflessness. Betty will be missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and her 12 siblings.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 70 years, Clifford Llewellyn of Red Oak, Texas; son, Clifford John Llewellyn Jr. and his wife, Karen of Bend, Oregon; daughters, Judi Peterson and her husband, Bill of Red Oak, Texas and Janice Hamann and her husband, Dale of Ovilla, Texas; grandchildren, Christian Peterson, Ryan Peterson and his wife, Amy, and Kelsey Peterson; great-grandchildren, Callie Peterson, Samantha Hamann and Magnolia Peterson; and her dog, Jesse.
