Barbara was born on January 04, 1942 in Pasadena, Texas to Lewis and Doris Stratton. Barbara married Ronnie Weatherford and together they had two beautiful daughters. Ronnie and Barbara were active members of the Ovilla Church of Christ in Red Oak, Texas for over 20 years.  She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Barbara was an active mother who loved having her daughters’ friends over to the house and would drive miles to make sure she was present for all their activities. In her free time, Barbara enjoyed decorating, putting puzzles together, shopping for antiques and spending time with her family and friends. She loved Thanksgiving and Christmas and always made you feel special on your birthday. Barbara made her presence known when she entered a room. She was known for her “spicy” personality; and for having a very little filter, which brought endless laughter to everyone around her. Barbara also had a very strong opinion about things and was never afraid to tell you.  She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, and son-in-law, David Mayo.

She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Ronnie F. Weatherford; daughters, Evette Vanderheiden and her husband, Joe and Misti Mayo; granddaughters, Madison Cowdery and her husband, Zach, Miranda Vanderheiden, Macie Vanderheiden, Sadie Mayo and Sydney Mayo; cousins, Patti June Pettigrew and Shirley Dyess; and many other family members and friends.
