Ernest “Ernie” Porter Ferguson passed away peacefully in his sleep on April 3, 2017 in Desoto, Texas.

Memorial service will be on Saturday, May 13, 2017 at 2:00pm at Cold Springs Church of Christ in Lancaster.

Ernie was born on September 14, 1945 in Columbus, Ohio to Ernest and Kathleen Ferguson. Ernie served faithfully at Cold Springs Church of Christ, he served communion, helped with the men’s breakfast and with prayers. When the doors were open, Ernie was there to help. His hobbies included photography, cars, and spending time outside with his dogs. He also enjoyed discussing politics and keeping up with current events. Above all, his greatest passion in life was his family. He will be remembered as a devoted husband, and being a loving stepfather, and “Pa Pa”.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister.

Ernie is survived by his loving wife, Ann; daughter, 2 stepsons; step daughters, Monica Bussell and her significant other, Dave Seibert, Hillery Jewell and her husband, Everett, stepson, Michael Fields and his wife, Evelyn; grandchildren, Paris, London, Clifton, Bella, Jasleen, Demi, Dylan, Myron, Max; great- grandchild, Brynlee and many other family members and friends.
