Calista Ndalema ( Banda) Johnson was born on January 27, 1985 in Malawi, Africa. She received her education in Africa and can speak five different languages. She loved speaking French, whenever there was someone who could speak it with her. Calista grew up in the Church of Christ, she accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized under the leadership of Brother G.K. Banda (her father).

In 2002 on a missionary trip Brother and Sister Johnson took to Malawi, Africa where they met a sweet, kind and beautiful girl. Her name was Calista Banda.  The Johnsons took to her and loved her dearly. They invited Calista to America to meet their children, Allen and Uniquka. They also loved her dearly so much so, Allen married her. Together, they had two beautiful children, Kareem Allen Johnson and Angelique Zarah Johnson. She was a wonderful wife, mother and house keeper.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her beloved husband, Allen D. Johnson; son, Kareem Allen; daughter, Angelique Zarah of Red Oak, Texas; father-in-law, Fred A. Johnson; mother-in-law, Dominique Johnson; sister-in law, Uniquka J. Christian and her husband, Charles and their daughter, Nika of Red Oak, Texas; parents, G.K. Banda and his wife, Anna of Malawi, Africa; biological parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ndalema; brothers, Allan, James, Alfred, Henry, Geoffery and Harrison Banda of Malawi, Africa; sisters, Evalista, Clara, Clemencia, Ellenita, Chaku and Little Anna Banda of Malawi, Africa; and a host of other family members and friends.
